Birthday Dinner

OK so first I have to say Happy Birthday David!!!

So today is my fiancé’s 27th birthday and I want to do something fun with him tonight. Well there is always the nice dinner at a restaurant that he loves and maybe go to that movie he’s been wanting to see….but I am broke I mean really broke! So instead I went to www.d8nite.comto help me come up with some good ideas that wouldn’t cost me anything (or something that was really really cheap). I think I found one that I liked (actually there were a lot so I am combining a few).  So here is the plan: I will cook dinner with ingredients I already have. Then set up in the middle of my apartment a make shift tent using sheets and string. I also have some white Christmas lights I can use to make “stars”. I will grab all my little house plants and maybe borrow some from my roommate and add them around my “tent”. If  it will fit I’ll move my coffee table inside the tent and set up some non-flame candles (I don’t want our tent to catch fire), Then when he comes over tonight it will be like we are camping indoors with a nice candle lit dinner. I hope he will like it!

Q’ed Up

I have the best d8nite idea!!!! If you are going to be in San Roman CA on May 26th go to the Art & Wind Festival. Not only is it fun for you and the whole family but they also have live music, and Q’ed Up is performing.  My dad Greg Edmunds is one of the group members and not to be bias or anything they are great! And they will be selling their Cd’s!

Q’ed Up is a group “who love to sing. We come together through our love for jazz, tight harmonies, and fun. While each of us brings unique talents — vocal versatility, choreography, arranging, organizing — it comes down to our love of singing.”

Go check them out at www.qedup.com. You can listen to sound clips, buy Cd’s, or read more about them.

So if you need a fun d8nite idea go see Q’ed Up at the Art & Wind Festival May 26th or go to www.d8nite.com for even more ideas

Spelling Lesson

I just took a trip down to St. George to go visit my family and finish up some wedding plans.  While I was down there my sister had set up camp in the dinning room with a white board, magnetic alphabet letters, and her digital camera. I thought it was for some school project.  But I was wrong. It was for her to answer the boy who asked her to Senior Ball.

What she had done was gathered all the letters in the sentence ” KC My Answer Is Yes! Kelsey” and then scattered them on the bored so they were just a jumble of letters. She would then take a picture of the letters “moving” to form the final answer.  Then with a little help from my mother and myself we put the pictures together in a little movie/slide show and set it to music and tittled it “A little Spelling Lesson For KC” burned it on a disk and ran it up the street to the boy’s house.

I just thought that that was really cute and creative. I’m sure there are many variations you could do with this too! I think I will go and post this on www.d8nite.com.

Dating & Engaged

How exciting it is to be getting married!!! I’m so excited! But in this crazy time of planing who should ware what and what flowers go where I sometimes get lost and caught up that I lose time for the man that I love. I found that if I just stop what I’m doing and start spending time with him all my stresses go away.

One thing that I found really helpful is www.d8nite.com. They have given me so many great ideas on how to make my time with my faience fun and interactive.  Don’t get me wrong dinner and a movie is great but when your trying to fit into your wedding dress the last thing you want to do is go eat and then sit for 2 and half hours.  At d8nite.com they have tons of tips to help you get up and go and you don’t have to brake the bank to have fun.

The other day we wanted to have a nice little picnic at one of our favorite parks but due to weather we were going to have to cancel it. But I was determined to still have a nice night and not end up watching TV or “stressing” over wedding plans. So we moved all the furniture to the side and set up a blanket in the middle of the room and had our picnic indoors and watched the storm go by.  It was so nice and it was much needed alone time to just sit there and talk with the man of my dreams. It helped me remember why I was getting married.

You all should go check out www.d8nite.com to get some awesome ideas on creative dating and you can also listen to Rob & Kristen Lamb at www.planetarystreams.com every Friday at 3pm MST to hear how amazing and wonderful creative dating can be!
